Cesarean Birth Doula

Though I specialize in creating Catholic and Christian birth atmospheres, you do not have to be Catholic to work with me! It's important to know that as a Catholic doula, I practice the values of Traditional Catholicism and adhere to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church, in union with Rome. I serve clients in traditional family structures as well as single women, and women in need. I do NOT refer to or support organizations that practice abortion & contraception. I only use traditional terms referring to women, pregnancy, breastfeeding & family. Lastly, I only use methods, and birth practices that are approved by and aligning with Church teaching and the biblical model of family, motherhood, childbirth and pregnancy.

I mean I'm a bit biased, but I certainly believe it is! :) Having someone in the room who you know shares your faith and values AND your birth choices is truly invaluable, let alone the comfort measures a doula can provide. Before I was a doula myself, I hired a Catholic doula for my first birth, and it was my own doula's prayerful support that encouraged me to pursue supporting other moms in the same way.

I also set up a payment plan as well by trimester depending on which option you prefer.

First, my role as your doula is NOT to replace your husband or any other support people you've selected to be with you. Instead, my job is to help them in supporting you - because most of them have probably not gotten formal training in how to ease labor pains. So when your husband is standing there helplessly while you labor, I can gently guide him in how he can assist you and be part of the process of bringing your child into the world. In fact, husbands are often more grateful for doula support than even the mamas are!

Absolutely! Every birth is different, and even if you feel like you know what to expect now, then you know how valuable the kind of support a doula can provide would be! Absolutely! I am a certified VBAC doula through The VBACK Link and have received specialized training to assist mothers attempting a vaginal birth after caesarean (VBAC).

Whether you have a planned c-section or end up needing to go in for surgery while in labor, a doula can still be incredibly beneficial for mental and spiritual support and assisting with bonding right after birth.
